Day 1-February 17
Depart from your gateway Airport to begin the pilgrimage of a life-time.
Day 2– February 18
Arrival at Tel-Aviv. We will be transferred to the Leonardo Plaza Hotel on the
beautiful Sea of Galilee in Tiberius where we can rest from our journey and
celebrate our first Mass in the land of Jesus and Mary. Dinner and over night.
Day 3– February 19
This morning we will drive to the Mount of Transfiguration where the Father
instructed the apostles and us to listen to the words of His Beloved Son, Jesus.
From there we go on to Cana, the site of Jesus’ first miracle. We continue on to
Nazareth for Mass at the church of Annunciation. Later that afternoon we will
visit Nazareth Village Park where Ancient Nazareth will be portrayed by live
actors. After a visit to the Mount of Precipice, we will return to Tiberius for
Dinner and over night,
Day 4- February 20
Today we journey to Megiddo, the Valley of Armageddon, where we will visit the
ancient city, from there we travel to Mt Carmel. We will visit the monastery
that marks the spot where the Prophet Elijah challenged the prophets of the idol
Baal. We will celebrate Mass in the monastery. We will then journey to Caesaria
to view the ancient theater, hippodrome and aqueduct.
Following our visit, we will return to Tiberius for dinner and overnight.
Day 5- February 21 Mardi Gras
Today we visit the Mount of the Beatitudes where we will celebrate Mass. We then
visit Tabgha (the site of fish and loves)
and the 2000 year old boat. and Capernaum. We will stop lunch of St
Peter’s fish along the Sea of Galilee, visit Caesaria Philippi and then return
to our hotel.
This evening we will celebrate Mardi Gras with a moonlight cruise on the Sea of
Galilee followed by a celebratory Dinner at the Decks, a beautiful restaurant on
the Sea. Lunch and Dinner are included today. Overnight in Tiberius.
Day 6– February 22 Ash Wednesday
This morning we begin our Lenten Journey by travelling to the Jordan River to
the site of Jesus’ Baptism. Here we
will renew our commitment to follow Christ and celebrate Mass in the small
chapel that the Holy Father visited on his pilgrimage. From there we cross the
desert near where Jesus spent his 40 days of prayer and fasting and go up with
joy to the House of the Lord—Jerusalem. Dinner and over night Leonardo Plaza
Jerusalem..
Day 7– February 23
This morning we go to the Mount of Olives;
visit the church of the Ascension; the Pater Noster Church; walk down the
Palm Sunday road and visit and celebrate Mass at the All Nation Church in the
garden of Gethsemane. After Mass we drive to mount Zion to visit David's tomb
and the upper room. We will have the opportunity to pray at the Wailing Wall and
will celebrate a Healing Service on the southern steps of the Temple, where
Jesus and Mary would have entered the Temple 2000 years ago. Dinner and over
night. .
Day 8– February 24
Today we tour the Old City of Jerusalem where we will visit the church of St.
Ann and the pool of Bethesda; walk the Stations of the Cross - THE VIA DELOROSA;
Celebrate mass at the Holy Sepulcher Church. This afternoon we will go to
Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherd's Fields.
Dinner and over night Leonardo Plaza Jerusalem.
Day 9– February 25
We begin our day by visiting the church of Peter in Galicantu. On to Ein Karem
and visit the birth place of John the Baptist. In the afternoon we drive to the
church of Abu-Gosh, the ancient Emmaus where we will celebrate Mass. We will
have our farewell dinner at a Middle East restaurant in Abu- Gosh, then drive to
the air port for our flight home.
Day 10– February 26
We arrive home with memories for a lifetime.
