Praying Without Ceasing
God Speaks to Us: Ephesians 6:18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
We Reflect On His Word:
· How many minutes a day do I spend in prayer? · What are some suggestions do I have for praying more? · When have I been aware that others have prayed for me? How did that make me feel?
We Live Out Our Yes: Dear Lord, I want to help the world to be a better place for all of us. I will start by praying for those around me, strangers that I haven’t met yet! Help me Lord to be mindful of those in my life, people who hve helped me and I didn’t even realize. Help me to bless others with prayers.
A Christian Magazine put out a statistic that the average Christine spends five minutes a day in prayer? Imagine that: only five minutes! Many people stated that they were just so busy, life was full of demands and as it was they weren’t even able to keep up. They seemed to need more hours in a day. Well how can we use this business to worship God, there must be away. How about trying this: praying for people who are around us, even if they don’t know it. People like the bank teller, the grocery man as he checks us out, the postman, the man selling us a bagel and coffee…all kinds of people. We could get in the habit of praying for anyone who touches our life. Imagine that; imagine if we all start praying for those around us what a wonderful world it will be! The prayer can be simple, God please bless that person today. You know his needs, I ask you to help him. Let’s get started…it can become a habit!
